Join us for a celebration of the most inspiring community owned enterprises this year.
This will be an extra special occasion as the awards are taking place in Plunkett’s centenary year. As such we’ll be doing our very best not only to showcase these excellent examples of community business, but framing them in the context of over 100 years of the community-led rural cooperative tradition pioneered by our founder Sir Horace Plunkett.
The awards are being delivered in partnership with Power to Change and with support from The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Hastoe Housing Association, BCRS Business Loans, The Retail Mutual, Suma Wholefoods, The Co-op and Triodos Bank.
We will be making seven awards celebrating different types of success, including, ‘Strengthening the Community’, ‘Investing in Local People’ and, new for this year, ‘One to Watch’ which will recognise a community business which is close to, or has recently started trading. You can look forward to a drinks reception, exclusive centenary announcements and key note speeches from leaders in the community business sector hosted by our Centenary Ambassador, architectural designer and television presenter, Charlie Luxton, culminating with presentations to the winning groups.
