    12:15pm – 3pm

Churchill Room, House of Commons, London

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) would like to invite interested Plunkett Foundation members to the launch of their Rural Shop Report 2020 at the House of Commons.

The Rural Shop Report will provide key insights into the rural convenience sector, including detailed information on who they are, who they serve, what they sell, how they operate, services and technology, colleagues, and what they contribute to the economy. The Rural Shop Report 2019 is available here.

ACS Chief Executive James Lowman and the new Chair of the APPG on Small Shops will address the reception on changes in the rural shop sector. Henry Dimbleby MBE, Chair of the DEFRA-commissioned National Food Strategy, and Lord Gardiner of Kimble, Minister for Rural Affairs, are also being invited to detail how the Government plans to support rural shops and the wider rural economy.

This is an opportunity to meet with fellow rural retailers in Parliament and ACS can support you to meet with your MP. This reception is taking place from 12:15pm – 3pm on Tuesday 11th February in the Churchill Room, House of Commons. Refreshments will be provided.
