A free event to showcase support and local initiatives available to community businesses in Suffolk

Plunkett Foundation are delighted to be speaking at The Community Pubs and Shops Event organised by Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils on Monday 24th February. This event is open to any community members looking to save, run, set-up or improve a community shop or pub.

Hannah Barrett, senior project manager from Plunkett Foundation, will be joining others at The Cross Keys Pub to discuss Plunkett funding. Rural Coffee Caravan will be discussing the Meet up Mondays Initiative, and Suffolk District Councils will be addressing other sources of local funding and assets of community value.

The Rural Coffee Caravan is the most successful rural outreach project in the area. Last year Ann Osborn started their ‘Meet up Mondays’ project as a means of tackling rural isolation, and Ann would like to encourage more community pubs and shops to become hosts.

To reserve a place please either ring 01449 724658 or email Josh Holmes at communities@baberghmidsuffolk.gov.uk
