Plunkett UK is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Lead to grow our corporate partnerships programme and secure new income that supports resilient, thriving and inclusive rural communities across the UK.

In this strategic and commercially focused role, you’ll build relationships with senior decision-makers, develop compelling partnership propositions and secure support through values-led partnerships, commercial collaborations and sponsorship opportunities.

You’ll create opportunities that deliver mutual benefit for corporate partners, Plunkett UK and our network of community-owned businesses.

You’ll lead a small partnerships team, manage a pipeline of prospects and work across the organisation to maximise partnership opportunities. Representing Plunkett at a senior level, you’ll be confident building relationships, negotiating agreements and securing long-term support.

This role is ideal for an experienced partnerships, fundraising or business development professional with a strong track record of generating income, developing strategic relationships and achieving ambitious targets.

Join Plunkett UK and help create partnerships that strengthen community-owned businesses and deliver positive impact for rural communities.

The successful candidate should have the following experience:
  • A strong track record in corporate partnerships, B2B sales, sponsorship, business development, commercial account management or a related field.

  • Experience developing high-quality proposals, pitches or tender responses.

  • Experience managing a sales, fundraising or partnership pipeline through a CRM system.

  • Ability to analyse financial and commercial information.

  • Demonstrable success in generating new business and securing significant income against financial targets.

  • Experience engaging, influencing and negotiating with senior corporate decision-makers, supported by excellent relationship-building and presentation skills.

  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to understand business needs and develop propositions that create mutual value.

  • An entrepreneurial and proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and progress them from initial conversation through to agreement and delivery.

  • A disciplined approach to pipeline management, prioritisation and financial forecasting.

  • Ability to lead and support a colleague while working collaboratively across a wider organisation.

We are committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and our approach goes beyond ‘protected characteristics’ to thinking more broadly about inclusion. Every individual will think and feel differently and we believe that these differences should be embraced, and individual needs taken into account. Additionally, the makeup of the rural communities we work with leads to their own particular diversity and exclusion challenges and opportunities compared to urban areas. Our commitment to EDI, both internally and externally, has been tailored to Plunkett and the communities we serve.

We ask that you complete a diversity monitoring form in order to monitor the effectiveness of our policies. The completion of this form is voluntary.
