Plunkett Foundation’s Chief Executive, James Alcock, hosted an in conversation event to launch the 2020 Better Form of Business Reports. The reports provide an insight into the health of the community pub and community shop sectors, and capture the headline trends of 2019. Although based on 2019 data, the reports give an initial view on the impact of Covid-19, ahead of the full set of data in the 2021 reports with which we will explore the impact of the pandemic in more detail. The stats are brought to life with insights directly from community businesses themselves.

James is joined by the reports’ authors, Helen Melia and Tim Allen, and Richard Harries, Director of Research and Development at Power to Change.  This event acted as an opportunity to unpack the reports’ headlines in more detail and to ask questions directly to the panel.
