A new guide designed to help local councils across England better understand the benefits that community businesses can bring to their areas is set to be launched later this year.

As the national lockdown closed the doors of businesses across the country, one newly opened rural community shop in East Yorkshire showed innovation and adaptability to remain open and provide community spirit and vital supplies to those who needed them more than ever.
Grindleford Community Shop has become the centre of its community during the Covid-19 lockdown, offering a number of initiatives which are supporting those most in need.
