This webinar looks at how a Co-op model can be an option to address major environmental and social challenges, and will discuss how you can take an idea and inspire a community, and the steps that need to be taken to convert an idea into reality. These ideas can be turned into projects to support the individual needs of a community, and help tackle issues such as deprivation, social isolation, communication, and health. The practical session will look at the benefits of cooperation and collaboration in the community between different groups and sectors such as village halls, parish councils and other community groups. Examples include an e-commerce delivery system to a pop up shop in response to Covid, and show how a community can work together to overcome issues and create a project that can remain relevant even after the immediate crisis has passed.

This free webinar was hosted by Plunkett Foundation on 26th October 2020, and was funded by The Hive – a support programme for co-ops delivered by Co-operatives UK in partnership with The Co-operative Bank.
