For many people writing a Will can offer great peace of mind. It takes care of your loved ones and helps put your affairs in order. For some it can also be a way of making the world a better place by donating to a charity or a cause that is important to you or that has played an especially important part of your life.
If you share our vision for creating thriving and inclusive rural communities across the UK leaving a legacy to Plunkett Foundation could be the right choice for you.
At Plunkett we strive to help communities safeguard the places and services that they love and need the most in order to help their rural town or village flourish.
We’ll use your gift to ensure rural communities are not left behind but become resilient and vibrant places to live, helping those that are lonely, isolated or on low incomes and bringing people together to improve the wellbeing of all.
The process of setting up a legacy gift can be very simple. First, choose the type of legacy you’d like to give:
1. A share of your estate (Residuary Legacy): A percentage of your estate after all other gifts and expenses have been paid. These gifts have the benefit that they tend to be inflation-proof, being a percentage rather than a specific sum.
2. A specific sum (Pecuniary Legacy): A gift of a set amount of money.
3. A specific item: This could be something valuable, such as an antique, painting, property or shares.
Once you’ve chosen your gift write or change your Will accordingly and inform your solicitor to ensure your wishes get carried out as you intend. Send your solicitor our full name, registered address and charity number CC 313743 together with details of the gift you would like to include.
You can contact us to let us know about your gift or you may also have ideas and special requests you’d like to discuss. If you have any questions at all, we’d be delighted to help. Thank you for considering supporting us with a gift in your Will.
