Fundraise
If you want to take on a challenge or you’d prefer to host a cake sale or put your crafting skills to good use, or maybe host a virtual quiz night, Plunkett can support your fundraising ambitions.
The first step in your fundraising journey is to choose your activity – if you’re stuck for ideas,
Every penny that you raise will help fund the services and support that Plunkett provides to enable communities on their journey to community ownership.
- £20 could help fund the Plunkett team to offer advice to a new community group looking to start their community ownership journey
- £50 could help pay for a networking event for community businesses to gain peer support from other community groups
- £100 could help fund for a Plunkett advisor to work directly with a community group to provide guidance on the legalities around creating a community business
- £500 could help fund a business health check for existing community businesses to ensure their business remains viable
- £1,000 could provide a start-up bursary to a new community business, helping to cover all the costs associated with setting up a community group

“After my husband died, I had severe depression – I was on the verge of committing suicide. There was nothing left in my life. I came down to Yarpole Community Shop and Café and I can honestly say, that for somebody in my situation, it saved my life. It gave me a focus, it gave me a purpose – you’re in the community again.”
