These grant awards have now closed – however, funded support and training through the Hopkins Plunkett Communities Scheme is still available!

As of the 15th February 2022 all grants have been allocated, however please contact us for information on other funding opportunities, upcoming events, training or business support for your community business – info@plunkett.co.uk or 08455 571469.

The Hopkins Plunkett Communities Scheme provided community businesses across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk with grants of up to £1,000 to help support them and the communities they serve.

This allocation of funding forms part of a £50,000 extension of the Hopkins Plunkett Communities Scheme – a partnership between East Anglian housebuilder Hopkins Homes and the Plunkett Foundation.

The scheme, which was extended last month following a successful summer programme, has already provided support to more than 35 community-owned shops, pubs and businesses in East Anglia.

The Hopkins Plunkett Communities Scheme

The Hopkins Plunkett Communities Scheme is still available to provide free support and expertise from the charity’s central support service and network of advisors. Guidance is provided on issues ranging from governance, cash flow advice, business planning, volunteer recruitment, management, accessing funding and navigating government support schemes.

The funding will also provide a series of training events and workshops aiming to inspire diversification and improve business resilience.

In addition, £10,000 of the fund will be ring-fenced specifically to provide specialist support to communities seeking to set up a new community-run pub.

Applications for individual grants are now closed but applications for support and training will be available until 31st March 2022.

To apply for the Hopkins Plunkett Communities Scheme support, email: support@plunkett.co.uk or call Plunkett Foundation +44 (0)1993 630022.
