Plunkett UK is delighted to announce Lands Improvement as the headline sponsor of its prestigious 2025 Rural Community Business Awards.
Through the partnership, Lands Improvement and Plunkett will celebrate the outstanding achievements of community-owned businesses across the UK, and the dedicated and inspiring individuals behind their success.
With generous support from Lands Improvement, the event will be held on Thursday 3 July at the Royal Society of Chemistry in Piccadilly, London.

Plunkett will be publicising the community business sector across the next four months, from the nominations window, which is currently open, through to the ceremony, and following the event too.
Community businesses who are Plunkett members are invited to nominate themselves for seven categories of awards, including Connecting the Community, Going Green and Keeping it Local. There are also two categories of award aimed at individuals in community businesses: Community Contribution and Young Person.
Plunkett UK is a national charity which supports people in rural areas to set up and run a wide range of businesses in community ownership. It does this to achieve its UK-wide vision for resilient, thriving and inclusive rural communities.
Gemma Sills, Plunkett’s Head of Partnership, says, “We are thrilled to welcome Lands Improvement as our headline sponsor for the Rural Community Business Awards, which are a true highlight in our calendar every year. Together, we are excited to hear transformative stories of community businesses having a positive impact in people’s lives in rural areas of the UK, supported by Plunkett.
“It’s an opportunity to pay tribute to community businesses for making a difference – for example, by being a wonderfully welcoming place for young people to volunteer, or for having outstanding environmental practices, or for being a faithful supporter of locally made produce.”
“Thank you to Lands Improvement for their generous support for this year’s awards campaign so we can celebrate community businesses!”
