We are recruiting a Community Business Adviser
Plunkett Foundation is a national charity with a vision for resilient, thriving and inclusive rural communities. To achieve this, we support people in predominantly rural areas to set up and run a wide range of businesses which are genuinely owned by local communities, whereby members have equal and democratic control. In recent years, we’ve helped over 800 community-owned businesses and witnessed the benefits that these inspirational businesses can bring to a local area, as thriving, resilient businesses with a 96% long-term survival rate.
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Community Business Adviser to join the Plunkett team. This newly created role follows increased demand for business advice and support from communities across the UK. The role will focus on working closely with community groups to deliver advice and support to help their projects succeed; as well as delivering consultancy services Plunkett provides to community businesses and corporate partners.
The role will suit a team-oriented, collaborative individual, who is able to effectively manage a demanding workload, expectations and priorities, and passionate about community ownership across the UK. Plunkett is committed to being reflective of the inclusive communities we serve. We value personal expertise and lived experience – your personal characteristics and life outside of work – as well as your technical expertise and career history. We believe that a diversity of experience and expertise makes us a stronger organisation
To apply for the role, please submit an up-to-date CV and covering letter including a supporting statement of no more than 1 side of A4 outlining your suitability for the role according to the person specification.
Please send your application to: hr@plunkett.co.uk
Closing date for applications: 9am on Tuesday 29 August 2023
Interview date: Interviews will be held during the week commencing 4 September 2023 via video call.
