This two part webinar series led by Plunkett Foundation’s Community Business Manager, Alison Macklin, looks at the process or recruiting, retaining and training volunteers. Both webinars are included in this recording; the first webinar discusses recruiting volunteers, and the subsequent process of inducting them into your business, including volunteer agreements, application forms, mentoring and training, and the second webinar concentrates on volunteer wellbeing and how to make volunteers feel valued and supported, your responsibilities to them, and how to ensure effective communications. Alison will talk about how to reward volunteers, and also discuss methods for dealing with difficulties and complaints from volunteers.
Alison has 15 years of experience managing Brockweir and Hewelsfield Village Shop and Café, an award winning eco-friendly, community owned shop and café specialising in local food set between the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean.
These two free webinars were hosted by the Plunkett Foundation on 3 and 17 June, and funded by The Prince’s Countryside Fund. Please note, due to a technical problem the video loses sound between 40:20 – 45:37.
