As the national lockdown closed the doors of businesses across the country, one newly opened rural community shop in East Yorkshire showed innovation and adaptability to remain open and provide community spirit and vital supplies to those who needed them more than ever.
Volunteers across the UK have been providing critical help to community businesses during lockdown. Plunkett Foundation share some stories to celebrate volunteer efforts as we go into the second week of Co-op Fortnight.
Across the country community businesses have been proving their ability to innovate and be adaptable during the Covid-19 lockdown. Here is the story of a Shropshire community shop which helped the most vulnerable people keep connected and supplied over the twelve weeks that the shop had to close its doors.
Together Hopkins and Plunkett are responding to the current crisis and supporting community businesses across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and rural Essex to recover and thrive during the Covid-19 lockdown.
